The last issue received was properly addressed, but I have had none for a couple of years. Is the newsletter still available by postal mail? Hayden L. Clevenger, USN Ret., 2720 Eastbrook, Lakeland FL 33811

IN THE SUMMER ISSUE 2008 YOU HAD A STORY ABOUT THE START OF E-8 AND E-9'S. I WAS WORKING THE ADMISSION UNIT AT USNH BREMERTON AT THAT TIME SETTING PEOPLE UP FOR THEIR PHYSICALS. THE OFFICE HAD A DUTCH DOOR AND ONE MORNING I HAD THE BOTTOM CLOSED WHEN I HEARD SOMEONE COUGH AND I TURNED TO SEE A MAN WITH A STAR ON HIS COLLAR. NOW HAVING NEVER SEEN A SENIOR OR MASTER CHIEF I DID HEAR THAT THEY HAD ONE OR TWO STARS. SO I SAID, "BE RIGHT WITH YOU SENIOR CHIEF". FINISHED MY TYPING AND TURNED TO SEE A BGEN IN THE USMC. YIPES, ME A HN. HE SAID THAT IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE CALLED A CHIEF.
